Portfolio - Contemporary Garden by Judith Sharpe
After a dramatic makeover to the live-in kitchen/dining area, a drastic change was needed in the garden. Huge, glass, sliding doors framed the view which now reflects these internal improvements. Black limestone echoes the kitchen work surfaces, the raised pond is painted to match the kitchen units and architectural plants including Phormiums, Cordylines and Trachycarpus fortunei give a well-furnished garden all year round.
A raised pond feeds the central 'canal' of water below. Changes of level and contrasting surfaces of paving, resin-bonded gravel and decking add further interest.
This garden was featured in a number of magazines including the English Garden Magazine. It also opened for 'Modern Garden Open Day'
